My First Message

First Message

Technology is changing everyday. As a kid, I got a cell phone. Nothing fancy, just a flip phone for basic communication. Then an iPad to play games on, a laptop for school, a better one for college, now I have my own Nikon DSLR. I work with Adobe premiere pro for film projects, Lightroom for editing photos, even have history with AutoCAD in a drafting class in high school. But I am no master of technology.

In EME2040, I hope to become more aware of technology’s vastness. I would like to become more skilled at Excel specifically. I am interested in creating the most cohesive presentations possible and working with data collection softwares, additionally.

I realize now, after completing the Learning Styles quiz, that I am a very visual, global learner, and tend to work through concepts rather than details and facts first. I understand this about myself from the ideas presented about theories; specifically, when I read books I think about the themes and go back and understand incidents that led to these themes, rather than the reverse. I greatly appreciated this quiz.

The only journey is the one within.

— Rainer Maria Rilke.
